Bespoke Faux Flower Bouquets - Our Design Process for Custom Artificial Flower Arrangements
Creating Bespoke Faux Flower Bouquets
One of the most enjoyable parts of running Best & Bloom is creating bespoke bouquets for customers. While our ready-made designs are created to suit a wide range of homes and interiors, sometimes someone has a very specific space, vase, or colour palette in mind - and that’s where a custom bouquet becomes the perfect option.
There’s something particularly lovely about designing an arrangement that’s made for one exact spot in someone’s home.
Here are two bespoke designs created this month.
A Kitchen Basket Inspired by Foraged Flowers

One customer recently reached out after buying a basket for her kitchen and wanting a bouquet designed specifically to sit inside it. Rather than a traditional structured arrangement, she wanted something that looked foraged and natural - lots of greenery, soft texture, and berries woven through the stems.
Because the basket had quite a wide opening, the design needed to spill out slightly to feel balanced. I used layers of green foliage to build the base of the arrangement and then tucked in berries and softer stems so it felt relaxed and slightly wild, as though it had been gathered from a hedgerow rather than arranged formally. I also created this bouquet so that the customer could choose to put it into a vase in the future, if she wished.
Vintage Arrangements That Sell Out Too Quickly

Another customer had fallen in love with some of our designs that were styled in vintage brass vases. Unfortunately, those arrangements tend to sell out quite quickly, and she had missed them before they were restocked.
She got in touch to ask whether I might have any available, and I was able to share a few brass vases that hadn’t yet been used in finished designs. After choosing one she liked, she described the colours and overall style she wanted, as well as where the arrangement would be placed.
The arrangement was for Whitland Dental Co, a newly-renovated private dental clinic with the goal of creating a relaxed, positive space where customers can benefit from holistic, tailored, Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry in a beautiful setting.
With that information, I created a bouquet that suited both the vase and the room it would be sitting in. Designing with the placement in mind - whether that’s a kitchen counter, hallway console, or dining table - helps shape the scale and movement of the stems so the arrangement feels balanced in its space.

Pricing Bespoke Designs

People often assume bespoke work comes with a huge price increase, but that’s not really how I approach it.
My bespoke bouquets are usually only slightly higher than the listed designs on my website. The difference mainly reflects the additional time spent sourcing stems, planning the arrangement, and creating something completely individual.
I never believe in overcharging simply because something is custom. Instead, the goal is to create a design that feels personal and thoughtfully made, while still sitting comfortably within the same general pricing as the rest of the collection.
Timescales for Custom Bouquets
How long a bespoke bouquet takes to create depends largely on what I already have available.
If the stems needed for the design are already in my studio, I can usually create the bouquet quite quickly. However, if specific flowers, colours, or textures need to be ordered in, it can take a little longer while those arrive.
For that reason, it’s always helpful to reach out with as much detail as possible - photos of the vase or space, colour preferences, and the overall style you’d like to achieve.
A Bouquet Designed Just for Your Space

Bespoke bouquets are a lovely option when you want something that fits a particular vase, shelf, or room perfectly. Whether it’s a relaxed, foraged-style arrangement filled with greenery and berries, or a more structured bouquet designed around a favourite vase, creating something tailored to a specific space often results in a piece that feels especially natural in the home.
And because faux flowers are so long-lasting, a thoughtfully designed arrangement can bring that finishing touch to a room for years to come.
