About Us

Based in Yorkshire, Best & Bloom offers hand-painted artwork, lifelike floral arrangements, and curated homeware for interiors with character.

We specialise in combining characterful vintage finds with timeless modern pieces, resulting in collections that feel layered, thoughtful, and enduring. Every item is selected or created for its form, texture, and the quiet charm it can bring to a space.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to beauty with intention - design that celebrates craftsmanship, embraces sustainability, and stands the test of time.

Our Story

Best & Bloom was born from a belief that homes should reflect both memory and meaning. What began as a creative outlet gradually evolved into private commissions, and then a curated offering of florals, artwork, and objects that celebrate the beauty of contrast - old with new, past with present, tradition with reinvention.

Our floral arrangements are made to last, season after season. Our vintage and antique finds are restored and reimagined to bring depth and individuality to modern interiors.

We’re passionate about preserving the stories behind objects where possible, and giving them new life through contemporary styling. Each piece carries its own history, brought together to create spaces that feel considered, personal, and full of character.

  • Originality

Every artwork is hand-painted, and each arrangement is composed by hand - making each creation feel special and personal. Whether styled into a storied vintage find or a modern classic, every Best & Bloom piece reflects a curated touch that cannot be found on the high-street.

  • Story

We see beauty in what came before. Our
Heritage pieces celebrate the character and charm of vintage objects,
    reimagined with fresh creativity.

Our newer items honour the design language of the past, with thoughtful textures and enduring form.

  • Sustainability

We believe in the quiet power of reuse. By sourcing vintage for our Heritage Collection, and designing with high-quality faux florals made to be enjoyed season after season, we reduce waste while creating timeless, considered pieces that are built to last and made to be loved.

FAQs

Are all your pieces one-of-a-kind?

All of our artwork is hand-painted in our Yorkshire studio, and every piece in the Heritage Collection is entirely one-of-a-kind, styled in vintage vases. These are clearly marked on the respective product pages.

Our bouquets and home accessories are made in small batches, but each is carefully considered to be elegant, timeless, and full of character.

Where is your art made?

All of our artwork is hand-painted and framed in our Yorkshire studio using a variety of mediums.

What is the Heritage Collection, and why is it priced at a premium?

The Heritage Collection is our most curated and characterful offering. Every piece — whether a floral arrangement or a hand-painted artwork — is entirely one-of-a-kind and created using individually sourced vintage or antique vessels and frames.

Each element is chosen for its shape, patina, and story, and no two designs are ever repeated. Because of the time-intensive nature of sourcing, styling, and designing these pieces, as well as the care taken in photographing, editing, and uploading each product individually, the pricing reflects the craftsmanship and uniqueness of the collection.

These are heirloom-quality pieces, designed to bring lasting character, creativity, and beauty to the home.

What are your frames made of?

The moulding is made from polcore. Our standard frames are fitted with high clarity perspex, which has the same visual clarity as glass and many customers even opt for this instead of glass with smaller art sizes. Our frame supplier is unable to offer glass in frames any larger than 20x16 inches due to the increased risk of damage in transit.

What condition are your vintage vases in?

We carefully select each vintage or antique piece for its character and charm. Light signs of age - such as patina, wear, or small imperfections - are part of the story and beauty. If there are any minor chips, this will be outlined in the product page, so please read the description carefully.

Do you use real or artificial flowers?

We use high-quality faux florals chosen for their realism, beauty, and longevity. Styled by hand, they offer lasting elegance without the upkeep; a sustainable and more easily-maintainable alternative to fresh blooms.

How should I arrange my bouquet?

Faux flowers, like real ones, can be cut to size to fit your desired vase, but wire clippers will be needed.

We love to put the bushier blooms closer to the neck of the vase and have the stems cut shorter (such as hydrangeas) and the longer stems and foliage peeking out at the top.

Stems can often be bent multiple times and snapped. Wire cutters are very good for cutting the stems, and bolt cutters are even better. Some stems are very thick and require a bit of extra work.

We also love using floral foam to hold the designs in place. If you need any help, please feel free to reach out to us for tips.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Most orders are packed and dispatched within 2 working days.

Shipping times depend on the courier. Please see our Shipping Policy for more details.

For bespoke pieces or commissions, we’ll confirm a timeframe once your order is confirmed. If you need something sooner, feel free to get in touch.

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment, we ship within the UK, but we’re working on expanding. If you're abroad and see something you love, please reach out, we may be able to arrange a custom quote.

Can I request a bespoke floral arrangement or artwork?

Absolutely. We offer bespoke services for both floral designs and painted pieces. Whether you have a specific colour palette, subject, or size in mind, we’d love to hear from you. Visit our Bespoke & Commissions page to get started.

About the founder

The roots of Best & Bloom trace back to childhood weekends spent with three generations of women exploring antique fairs and second-hand sales in search of something beautiful, forgotten, or unusual. With artists in the family, and a love of both creating and appreciating art, creativity was part of everyday life, shaped by a respect for the past and a belief in the value of things made with care.

During the 2020 pandemic, with supermarkets being one of the few places open, I found calm in choosing flowers and arranging them at home. That led me to join a local florist’s online workshop where I learned more about arranging flowers with intention. Over time, I started to feel the limitations of fresh flowers; the cost, the mess, and the waste. That, combined with my love of vintage design sparked the idea for Best & Bloom: a way to bring together artistry, lasting objects, and the quiet charm of considered design.
